Get Over It!

The wonderful thing about law is that it has nothing to do with emotion  Just because you feel a certain way, well I'm here to tell you that doesn't mean anything. A fair trial is what you get here. If you don't like the system you're free to pack up your shit and move the fuck out of the country, absolutely no one is stopping you. I'm tired of hearing people complain that the justice system is unfair and it doesn't work. Seriously, you're an idiot that reacts emotionally without thinking if you actually believe that. Just because you are unhappy with a verdict does not mean a trial was unfair!

Learn to accept and let go because just because you feel entitled to have things that you have no control over go your way, I'm here to tell you, you don't. I have three words for you: get over it.

"Hey there, can I ask you a question?"

Normally I respond with "you just did," but I decided to not be completely bitchy and instead said "sure." I knew what was coming as soon as he responded with "you're probably the hottest girl on here lol." I wasn't expecting to receive the offer I did, but I'll get to that in a minute.

Here's his stats:
Age: 28
Occupation: Special Needs teacher (to little children...quite scary if you continue to read below)
Username: something along the line of dontbecrazy
Attractiveness before I read what he wrote to me: 0
Attractiveness after I read what he wrote to me: -infinite

He first asked if I'd be interested in any type of relationship. First of all, the use of 'any type of relationship' from some guy just oozes sleaziness, vulgarity and automatically earns a "block me" status in my book.

But wait, it gets better. I said I wasn't interested. I said "I must reject your offer for any type of relationship." And then he responds with three paragraphs of grossness. He says he would "give massages and would LOVE to go down" on me, all when I'm in between dating other guys. He also promises that he wouldn't request anything of me, ever. He also states that this is just something he recently decided he wanted to do (you mean like five minutes ago?) and he doesn't say or offer his services to just anyone...sure, uh huh, rightttt...

If you're reading this, I've left out some details FYI, and I just want you to know this is typical behavior/ a typical message that approximately 5% of guys on okcupid send (in my opinion). Most don't send messages like this, so it's an opportunity to blog about it. I can see the positive in this experience...

It's been a long time...

I know, whoever you are that's reading this, it's been quite a while since I've posted anything. I find myself unsure of what to write. Will anyone read this? Probably not. Anyways, since I've been 'away for a while' I could start by talking about what's been happening, what's changed, what's stayed the same... you get the point.

Well, I'm now a senior at Georgia Tech with just one year left, two semesters, before graduation. I've been an editorial intern this summer, working mainly with content management. Content management, it's a fancy term for the most boring, mind numbing work one person could possibly do. Since I'm up for hire, you can find me on LinkedIn and/or check out my bad ass skills on my Google+ profile. I've seen being able to quote from Seinfeld as a skill on several job descriptions, and I just want to let you and the world know that I can do that...

Also, in February I set up an Okcupid profile. Okcupid is one of those things that you have a love/hate relationship with. I must admit that most of what's on Okcupid is "ok." There is definitely a bunch of junk that one must sift through. My favorite worst message I've ever received was a 50 Shades excerpt (ew).

Here's a few miscellaneous tidbits:

- GaTech housing charged me $125 for ruining dorm carpet, it was ugly before it encountered me
- Lost some weight (yay)
- Still reading Nikolai Gogol's Dead Souls, it's only been a few years but it looks like I just may finish it
- Read Life of Pi in 12 hours
- Broke my otterbox
- My dog bit my face
